Located 25-30 minutes from campus on St. Georges Island, Evans restaurant serves up some of the finest seafood in the state. The restaurant is decorated in a friendly nautical motif that is very interesting but one hardly notices this. It's the view of the water and docks through any of Evans large windows that demands the diners attention. This is especially true around dusk. Only one thing is better than the view and that’s the food. In their ad, Evans states "All seafood in season” and one way to really enjoy everything in one visit is to order the all you can eat special. Priced at $18.95, it's a little much for a college students' budget, but save your money- it is definitely worth it Steamed crabs, clams, oysters, mussels and shrimp Priced at around $12 are a few entrees that include moderate size portions of about 5 different menu items. These too are good choices for a wide variety of seafood. Many of the appetizers are very good. The crab soup is thick and full of meat unlike the clam chowder which seems to be little more than water. The oysters are large, fresh and delicious. Given the cost, eating at Evans often isn't practical but when you find you have some money and want a good dinner, Evans is the place. This storyline of this movie was for the most part, feasible, however, in some places, the plot fell short of convincing us of it's sincerity. For instance, it was too difficult to believe that the character, Kat, would be able to attend Yale on her limited funds. If it had been a less prestigious institution, we wouldn't have been so preoc cupied with money matters Another small plot problem was when the plot lost the element of surprise when it tried to achieve the proverbial "happy ending". Having been to Mystic, we were eager to spot some of the familiar landmarks, but we did not recognize any of the traditional sites. Whether the town was really Mystic or not, the scenery was still realistic and quaint The homes were homes, not some "Leave It To Beaver" stage prop. From the tacky wallpaper, to the well-wom pool table in the bar, the scenes maintained a life-like quality. Overall, we both enjoyed this movie alot. It was exciting to watch the story unfold because the viewer cares about the characters and their problems. GOOD acting, GOOD scenery, GOOD dialogue, and probably GOOD pizza. A half a brewskie movie. This has been Holly and Sarah bringing you "Sober Cinema". 1 he three Mystic Pizza stars get together for a chat, discussing life, but most importantly, guys.
